• theres furries
• magic is a thing, but it's basically treated like science sometimes. there's scholars and researchers, but not many magical daily conveniences yet
• people move around a lot. i'd say most people in this world would live in at least three entirely different far-apart places in their lifetime?
  (nice contrast with how small the world actually is, lets conversations pull in more details from the world at large, which also makes the focus hear about more of what she's missing)
